Why LatticeKit? · Starting a business
Skip the platform layer. Ship the business.
You're opening a salon, a restaurant, a clinic, a fitness studio, a tour company. You think you're starting a service business. What you're about to discover is that you're also signing up to operate a small software company — one that integrates a booking system, a POS, a CRM, a payments processor, accounting software, a staff-scheduling tool, a marketing platform, and a real-time dashboard, and keeps them all talking.
What the current path actually costs
Run the napkin math on a real-world service business. Each piece of operational software is its own monthly bill, its own data silo, its own login, and its own pile of integration glue:
- Booking — FareHarbor, Square Appointments, Calendly, Mindbody, Acuity.
- Point of sale — Square, Toast, Lightspeed, Clover.
- Payments — Stripe, Square, Finix.
- Accounting — QuickBooks, Xero, Sage.
- CRM & marketing — HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact.
- Staff scheduling — When I Work, Homebase, 7shifts.
- SMS & email — Twilio, SendGrid, custom Speaker work elsewhere.
- Real-time dashboards, reports, KDS, kiosks — built from scratch or duct-taped from spreadsheets.
Each one is fine on its own. The cost is the connective tissue: customer records that drift across systems, double charges when payment and POS disagree, marketing campaigns that fire at people who already booked, and a finance team that spends one week a month reconciling.
What LatticeKit does instead
One substrate runs every operational concern. Customers, products, schedules, payments, and ledger entries all live in the same platform with the same audit trail.
- Seldon handles bookings: appointments, stays, classes, walk-in queues.
- Hardin is the catalog: products, variants, modifiers, recipes, dynamic pricing.
- Hober runs the live POS tab.
- Payments moves money — real Stripe and Finix drivers, tokenized.
- Mallow is the ledger: invoices, refunds, fiscal periods, jurisdiction-aware tax.
- Terminus is the one place customer identity and consent live.
- Speaker handles every outbound message (email, SMS, push) with consent enforced at the gate.
- Magnifico runs marketing campaigns over the same audience and consent model.
- Demerzel is the operator console, with an AI chat that can configure complex behavior for you.
One customer record. One source of truth for what was sold, when, to whom, and for how much. One marketing list that's automatically up to date. One audit trail that explains every cent.
Concretely
Read the hotel front-desk walk-through or the salon walk-through. Each story names which primitive runs which part of the operation. The seven-call getting-started flow takes you from a brand-new tenant to a confirmed booking.
The honest caveat
LatticeKit is being built in the open. Some primitives are fully shipped (scheduling, identity, payments, ledger, comms, workflow, the operator console); others are at phase 1 (marketing, reporting, real-time channels, bulk import). The changelog shows what landed and when. Early-access tenants are working with us directly while we sand the rough edges.
